Job Description


We are growing and have an opportunity for a self-motivated Finance Director to join our group.
 
Acting as a key member of the Insurance & Benefits Group finance team, this is a wide-ranging role supporting financial oversight of the Group and integration of newly acquired businesses. You will be involved in everything from behind-the-scenes details to the big picture. This role will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of all consolidated financial information and reporting, as well as working closely with various senior leaders within the Group team and operating business units to deliver “best in class” financial support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide leadership and support for the financial functions across the Group within the Insurance &
Benefits Group
• Work with Group Financial Controllers to ensure the accuracy in management and legal entity
consolidated reporting
• Develop and maintain consolidated management reporting that remains relevant to support decision
making Carry out consolidated variance analysis on monthly and quarterly results for the Insurance &
Benefits Group
• Oversight of financial planning and strategy for the underlying business units including leading reviews of
proposed and significant changes to forecasts
• Oversee all financial audits across the Group including internal audit, corporate audit, and standalone
audits
• Liaise Corporate Finance & Tax as needed
• Lead the financial integration of newly acquired businesses into the Group
• Oversight and reporting of newly integrated business financial results against investment memorandums
• Lead large contract review process including commercial terms review, contract committee approval and
revenue recognition checklist submission
• Produce and provide ad hoc finance related reports to Group CFO, Group Leader and corporate as
required
• Complete ad hoc projects as required to support the business needs of the Insurance & Benefits Group
• Implementation of a change management culture by challenging & replacing established processes and
procedures where necessary.
• Uphold and enforce an environment of ethical practices.
• Perform any other reasonable duties as required by Management
 
Specialized Skills and Knowledge
• Bachelor degree in Finance/Accounting required with an
• advanced degree and/or an accounting qualification (CPA, CMA)
• Minimum 8 years of progressive accounting experience
• Previous experience in manager-level accounting position
• Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
• Self-motivated starter, able to instigate and manage change.
• A strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and strong operational
focus.
• Highly computer literate, with particular reference to accounting and management software and
Microsoft Office products (Excel and PowerPoint especially); Great Plains experience a plus
• Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and team building skills, comfortable
interacting, and motivating personnel at all levels of the organization
EDUCATION SPECIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 5+ years of related experience required
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred
• Proven experience in finance management
