
Provide direct prevention services to individuals, schools and communities. Engage community members through outreach and education in order to increase awareness and decrease stigma of mental health issues. Facilitate educational groups utilizing approved curriculum.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience
Tier I: Bachelor's degree in human services or related Field OR 30 semesters/45 quarter units of completed college coursework (half of which must be upper division) in behavioral science AND at least 1 year of related work experience
Tier II: Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field AND 2 years of equivalent work experience OR 30 semesters/45 quarter units of completed college coursework (half of which must be upper division) in behavioral science AND at least 4 years of equivalent work experience
Tier III: Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field AND 4 years of equivalent work experience OR 30 semesters/45 quarter units of completed college coursework (half of which must be upper division) in behavioral science AND at least 6 years of equivalent work experience
Tier IV: Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field AND 6 years of equivalent work experience OR 30 semesters/45 quarter units of completed college coursework (half of which must be upper division) in behavioral science AND at least 8 years of equivalent work experience

Located in Orange and San Bernardino counties, the Mental Health Department at SCCS is comprised of an outstanding group of mental health professionals. At a minimum, each has a Master's Degree or Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or Clinical Psychology. All of our therapists have experience working with children, youth, couples, and families.
