Job Description

The Group Facilitator is responsible for the overall preparation and facilitation of quality IPAEP groups. S/he will display and encourage the character traits of honesty, respect, caring and responsibility in the fulfillment of all job duties.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

Program/Department Responsibility:

• Facilitate IPAEP groups as assigned
• Ensure that all groups are in compliance with approved curriculum
• Ensure that all groups are consistent with DPH, and IPAEP standards, policies and procedures
• Complete client assessments
• Make necessary referrals to outside agencies or departments as needed.
• Participate in scheduled supervision and other IPAEP meetings as assigned.
• Maintain and file client data and information as assigned
• Complete monthly client report

Supervision of Personnel: None.

Fiscal Responsibility: Adhere to all fiscal policies and procedures such as petty cash purchase orders, vouchers and employee expenses as requested.

Facility/Housekeeping Responsibility: Ensure that the program areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance.

Interdivisional/Community/Volunteer Responsibility:

• Attend IPAEP meetings as assigned.
• Attend the OCC meetings as assigned.
• Actively participate in the Y’s Annual Strong Kid’s campaign.

Closing Statement: To enhance the overall operation of the Old Colony Y and support team work, the Group Facilitator will accept additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Physical Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalency required
• Good oral and written presentation skills
• Experience working with adults, at-risk populations, or offenders is helpful
• Computer skills: Word, Excel, Power Point
• Successful completion of a minimum of 24 hours of DPH-approved IPAEP training
• Observation of at least 6 hours of IPAEP group sessions from a DPH-approved training program
• Successful completion of a domestic violence victim service agency training as defined by MGL. Ch 233, 20K
• Must be able to sit, stand, bend and walk during the work day
