Key Responsibilities:
Educational Group Facilitation: Prepare and present educational materials to clients in an approved format, ensuring clarity and engagement.
Safe & Supportive Environment: Create an environment for learning that is supportive, respectful, and culturally sensitive, fostering open discussion and interaction.
Ongoing Training: Complete adult education training as scheduled by the supervisor to enhance facilitation skills.
Client Participation Monitoring: Evaluate and communicate client participation in group sessions to the Clinical Team.
Documentation: Accurately document client attendance, participation levels, session synopsis, and summaries of each facilitated group. Use the agency’s Electronic Health Records (EHR) system to ensuretimelyandappropriate documentationof services provided.
Adherence to Standards:Observeand maintain standards of practicein accordance withagency policies and procedures.
Immediate Reporting: Report any immediate threats to the physical or psychological well-being of clients or staff to the supervisor or available supervisory personnel.
Regular Attendance:Maintainregular and consistent attendance, ensuring a reliable presence in the team.
Other Duties: Performadditionalduties as assigned by the supervisor or leadership team.

Group Facilitation: Ability to communicate effectively in group and public settings, with strong skills in leading education groups for adults.
Clinical Knowledge: Strong understanding of clinical subject matter and the ability to present it effectively to clients.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for client interaction and documentation.
Positive Morale: Ability to promote a supportive, positive attitude toward clients and peers, fostering a cohesive team environment.
Creativity & Innovation:Demonstratesinitiative and creativity to improve clinical outcomes and enhance client comprehension.
Client and Staff Sensitivity: Exhibits concern and sensitivity to the needs of clients and staff, leaving a positive and lasting influence.

Experience and Education Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate from an accredited college or university with aBachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Psychiatric Nursing, or a closely related field.
OR
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and a minimum of two (2) years of responsible employment history in a related field.
Additional Credentials:
Employees in this position maybe requiredto apply for the Missouri Associate Alcohol Drug Counselor (MAADC) credential.
