Job Description
The NDIS Groups and Activities Facilitator will be responsible for the delivery of a variety of both centre-based and community-based groups and activities
• Join a supportive team in community mental health
• Casual on call in Northmead near Parramatta
• Monday to Friday shifts, between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, with variable start and finish times.
• Support adults experiencing mental health Issues in group setting and one on one
• SCHADS Level 2 $34.58 per hour plus casual loading
• Advert Closing – 11:55pm Sunday 31st May 2026
Uniting Recovery's NDIS program aims to support NDIS participants with severe and persistent mental health problems and assists participants in developing the capacity and resilience to undertake life tasks independently and achieve their lifetime goals.
Key Responsibilities
• Facilitate a variety of groups and one on one activities focused on social skills and basic living skills
• Deliver high-quality, recovery-oriented group and one on one programs for NDIS participants
• Support participants to build capacity, resilience, and independence
• Actively contribute to quality improvement and best-practice service delivery
• Work collaboratively within a supportive community mental health team
Essential Criteria
• Certificate IV (or equivalent) in Community Services, Mental Health, or a related field
• Demonstrated experience facilitating group-based social and living skills activities
• Experience working with adults with lived experience of severe and complex mental health challenges
• Strong one on one engagement and group facilitation skills
• Understanding of the recovery model and its application in mental health settings
• Current driver’s licence (mandatory) and access to a reliable vehicle (preferred).
