The YMCA is seeking an energetic, enthusiastic, and reliable Zumba Instructor to lead engaging, high-energy group fitness classes. This role is responsible for creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where participants of all fitness levels feel motivated, supported, and inspired to reach their health and wellness goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead safe, effective, and fun Zumba classes for members of varying fitness levels
Provide clear instruction, demonstration, and modifications to accommodate all participants
Create a positive and inclusive class environment that aligns with YMCA values
Arrive prepared with planned routines and appropriate music
Ensure proper use of equipment and maintain a clean, safe studio space
Build relationships with members and encourage participation and retention
Promote YMCA programs, events, and membership opportunities
Maintain current certifications and adhere to YMCA policies and procedures
Qualifications
Current Zumba Instructor certification (required)
Group Exercise certification from a nationally recognized organization (preferred)
CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe)
Previous group fitness instruction experience preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lead and motivate participants in a group setting
