Position Type: Full TimePay starting at $21.00 per hour and up based on experience

POSITION SUMMARY: As the Group Exercise Director, you’ll lead a high-energy, member-facing environment overseeing group exercise (land and aquatic) and the wellness floor. This role requires a balance of people leadership, operational oversight, and hands-on engagement to ensure a safe, inclusive, and motivating experience for all. You’ll be visible, active, and adaptable—supporting staff, engaging members, and stepping in where needed to keep operations running smoothly.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and grow group exercise programs (studio and aquatic)
- Oversee wellness floor operations, safety, and member engagement
- Recruit, hire, schedule, and develop instructors and wellness staff
- Evaluate performance and provide ongoing coaching
- Ensure staff certifications remain current
- Monitor participation, satisfaction, and program effectiveness
- Maintain equipment and program spaces
- Support marketing, events, and fundraising initiatives
- Manage department budget and meet financial goals

- You’re not comfortable being hands-on in both fitness and aquatic environments
- You struggle in fast-moving environments with shifting priorities

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of fitness or wellness leadership experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to engage diverse populations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
