The Group Exercise Coordinator oversees the Group Exercise Department and all of the instructors. The Coordinator is responsible for hiring, scheduling, training, supervising, and evaluating the performance of all-Group Exercise Instructors. To be successful in this role, this team member must stay up-to-date on upcoming group exercise trends.?

Essential Job Functions

• Manage Group Exercise Instructor and Class schedule
• Review applications and perform interviews with prospective Group Exercise Instructors
• Seek and identify opportunities to enhance the Group Exercise Department and execute changes accordingly
• Evaluate performance of Group Exercise Instructors team and provide both constructive and positive feedback
• Track and update instructor certification records
• Monitor the room upkeep, equipment maintenance and inventory of Group Exercise studios
• Serve as a point of contact for instructors or members when issues or questions arise
• Promote and assist with special events and programs (e.g. Les Mills Quarterly Launches)
• Lead new Group Exercise Instructor orientations and oversee Payroll for Group Exercise Instructors
• Research group exercise trends to stay informed on changing and emerging programs
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in Group Exercise
• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or extensive experience in a sports management role preferred
• Management experience preferred
• CPR/AED certification
• Dependable transportation to and from work
• Language skills: Fluent knowledge of the English language; including the ability to read and interpret written information and speak and understand verbal communication?
• Availability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as needed
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Good organizational, time management, customer service and problem-solving skills and the ability to work accurately and meet deadlines with frequent interruptions

Working Conditions

• Work environment: Upbeat, high-energy sports and event complex with heavy foot traffic and frequent large crowds.
• Physical requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the team member will be regularly required to perform physical activity that includes moving about the work area, standing, sitting, bending, reaching with hands and arms, lifting, pushing, pulling, talking, hearing and smelling. The team member will be frequently required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. He or she is required to have the visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
• Lifting requirements: The team member will be required to lift, push, pull, lower and/or move up to 10 lbs regularly, and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Noise Level: The noise level in this environment is typically moderate to loud.
• Work schedule: The work schedule may fluctuate to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
