Supporting all Epworth Healthcare sites, in this fixed term full-time role, you will be responsible for providing high quality and expert advice and recommendations to Epworth HealthCare on the strategic direction, planning and resourcing required for Emergency preparedness, emergency management and business continuity for incidents that potentially impact the ability of Epworth HealthCare to deliver business as usual.

You will make an impact by:

  • Providing expertise in Emergency Manager, emergency preparedness and business continuity
  • Development and implementation of staff training in the Epworth Incident Management Command System (EpIMS) and exercises are held to maintain currency
  • Emergency Procedures (EpIMS) are in place at all sites
  • Business Continuity Planning
  • Standardi sed Divisional Business Continuity Plans (BCP) structure and ensure specific Divisional relevance to each site.

To be successful in this role:

  • Experience in emergency management or emergency preparedness.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage your time and workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to build relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • String communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong project delivery and management skills.
  • Ability to understand compliance related documentation and legislation to identify outcomes which meet business need

Qualifications

You will have:

  • Current or prior experience delivering Emergency, Crisis or Business Continuity Management programs, projects and or strategies.
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of relevant regulations and standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing documented plans, presentations, and related workshop materials with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and client-management skills, both written and verbal, with experience facilitating workshops and presenting.
  • A current driver licence and own vehicle

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.

When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best. Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville.
