The company is the fastest-growing Thailand-based food tech startup. Providing a food supply platform, streamlining the entire food chain process, and aggregating 10,000+ food supply items for restaurants, hotels, cafes, and caterers all while delivering them to your doorstep. Improving efficiency, simplicity, and transparency throughout the process.

You will be responsible for spearheading the development and execution of a comprehensive strategy aligning with business and marketing objectives. This leadership role involves managing a team, analyzing market trends, overseeing budgets, optimizing product selection, negotiating contracts, and utilizing data to enhance sales strategies. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and staying updated on industry trends are integral to achieving company growth. This position emphasizes a proactive approach to innovation and competitiveness in the dynamic field of merchandising.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive merchandising strategy aligned with the overall business objectives and marketing goals
• Lead and manage a team of merchandising professionals, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance management
• Identify and analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activity to inform strategic decision-making
• Develop and manage merchandising budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve financial targets
• Oversee the selection, sourcing, pricing, and promotion of all merchandise, ensuring optimal product mix and profitability
• Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing
• Analyze sales data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize merchandising strategies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, operations, and finance, to achieve the companys growth
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in merchandising, and implement innovative solutions to enhance competitiveness

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in merchandising leadership, preferably within the food industry
• Have a deep understanding of the pricing structure in the market and can effectively apply it to organizational context
• Proven track record of success in developing and implementing merchandising strategies that drive significant sales growth and profitability
• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
• Ability to motivate and inspire a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong understanding of financial metrics
• Experience with inventory management systems and data analysis tools
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software programs
