About the Role

Green by Nature is looking for a Groundsperson to join our team maintaining the sports turf, gardens and grounds of a premium school environment.

This is a true all-round grounds role. You'll work across sporting fields, turf areas, lawns, gardens and landscaped spaces, helping keep the entire site looking and performing at its best.

What You'll Do

You'll enjoy plenty of variety, with responsibilities across sports turf, garden maintenance and general grounds upkeep, including:

• Maintaining sports turf, playing fields and lawn areas
• Mowing and general turf maintenance
• Hedging, weeding, pruning, planting and mulching
• Maintaining garden beds and landscaped areas
• Operating push mowers and ride-on equipment
• Using powered equipment including hedgers, blowers and whipper snippers
• Loading and unloading plants, materials and equipment
• Keeping machinery, tools and work areas clean and organised
• Supporting the overall presentation and upkeep of the grounds
• Following safe work practices and looking out for your teammates

About You

You're a practical, reliable person who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in maintaining quality grounds.

You may have experience in sports turf, greenkeeping, grounds maintenance, horticulture, landscaping or gardening. We're particularly interested in someone who is happy to turn their hand to different tasks rather than specialising in only one area.

You'll bring:

• Previous experience in grounds, turf, gardening, landscaping or a similar hands-on environment
• A strong work ethic and pride in doing a job well
• Confidence using grounds maintenance tools and equipment
• The ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team
• A current driver's licence
• A White Card and Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain them
