Job Details:

Hours:6:00 am – 2:30 pmMonday-Friday;

Additionallyas needed to insure maximum equipment operation

Thisposition will maintain thegrounds for the farm, ensuring mowing, building upkeep, snowremoval,etc

REQUIREMENT: 6 month work history or participant of any industrial maintenance educational program, maintenance experience preferred

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:

• Responsible forrepairs to vehicle equipment

• Maintainandoperatefarm equipment

• Maintainappropriate parts inventory

• Maintaining farm grounds

• Other specific duties asrequired; inclusive of all farm work responsibilities, cooperating with others as needed to complete necessary tasks

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to carry out essential duties and responsibilities efficiently, within safety guidelines

• Ability tooperateall farm equipment efficiently, within safety guidelines

• Ability to efficiently use hand tools and trades type tools, to provide maintenance of all farm equipment

• Strong mechanic backgroundpreferred

• Basic electrical and plumbing experiencepreferred

• Required to learn essential farm animal husbandry practices

• Willingness to work overtime and be called into work for emergency situations asrequired

Physical Requirements / Environment:

• Stand/Walk: Continuously

• Lift/Carry Frequently(1-10lbs),occasionally(up to 35-50 lbs.)

• Other Physical Requirements:

• Occasionally; bend/stoop, squat, crawl, climb, reach above shoulder, crouch, kneel, push/pull

• Frequently; grasp

• Continuously; working around moving machinery, in areas with marked changes in temperature and humidity, exposure to dust and fumes, occasionally working at unprotected heights, around and amongst dead birds and a strong chicken odor

Rehire Consideration:

• Max of two (2) previous Tyson Employments to be considered for hire.
• 90 days waiting period
