About the Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detailed oriented Casual Groundskeeper at Collaroy Centre to join our team at The Collaroy Centre, NSW (Northern Beaches).

Purpose of the Role:

Maintain gardens and grounds, to ensure a functional and safe outdoor space for our internal customers and guests.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:  

  • General garden maintenance (mowing, edging, pruning)
  • Operating and maintaining gardening tools and equipment
  • Identifying and addressing basic maintenance needs in outdoor areas
  • Role also involves blowing and cleaning roads and pathways, as well as assisting with meeting room and event space setups, not just gardening.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in grounds maintenance/gardening.
  • Experience in garden maintenance and landscaping
  • Confident using a range of gardening tools and equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Mention that a horticulture, landscaping, or similar qualification would be desirable but not essential.

Salary on offer : Salary range between $26-$27.5/h $27.97 Plus Casual loading

Requirements for the role:

  • A Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check is required
  • Valid Working with Children’s check
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Flexibility with hours to meet operational requirements

Days and hours of working Operational Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.

When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best. Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville.
