The Groundskeeper is responsible for the general upkeep of the main campus, the Crisis Nursery grounds, and the South Sacramento Family Resource Center grounds, including aesthetics, to ensure they are in safe working condition for the children and staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
LOCATION 2750 Sutterville Rd., Sacramento, CA 95820
SCHEDULE: 20 hours within Monday-Friday, flexible daytime shifts.
SALARY $21.26 - $23.90 per hour, to start
Education and
Experience:
A high school diploma or GED is required. Landscaping and groundskeeping experience is preferred.
Driving is an essential function of this job, and as such, employees in this position will be required to furnish their own vehicle to be used in the course of employment. A valid CA driver’s license and minimum insurance coverage is required.
Must be at least 21 years old
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
Knowledge of and ability to use and operate various power tools, hand tools, and garden equipment.
Knowledge of safety procedures.
Knowledge of basic mathematics, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
Skill to plan and organize multiple tasks at one time.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
Good organizational skills.
Ability to maintain a safe working environment.
Ability to report to work on a regular and reliable basis.
