The Opportunity:
Groundskeeper 2
About the Role:
The Groundskeeper II position covers all operations of the groundskeeper position with an expanded role concentrating on task knowledge, equipment operation, and communication. This position requires a positive attitude, strong work ethic, ability to work with the team as well as work alone, and willingness to want and learn all aspects of golf maintenance. They should have experience as a laborer withan appropriateand developing grasp of course conditioning requirements
What you will do:
Handle preventative maintenance of all equipment and update appropriate logs
Expected tooperateall equipment ata high levelonce trained.
Incorporate safe work practices in job performance
Ability / Willingness to learn new tasks andoperatedifferent typesof equipment as required
Ability to communicate with Superintendent / Assistant Superintendent / Equipment Technicians when any needs may arise.
Make sure all tees and traffic stakes are properly placed at all times.
Vehicle operation and care from cleaning to filling w/fuel.
Raking bunkers, rotary push mower, backpackblowerand weed eating.
Divot repair, laying sod and plantingseed, mowing greens andrepair ofball marks on greens.
Proper safety procedures.
Edging sprinkler heads and valves,to fly-mowing bunkers,to edgingcart paths,drainsand cleaning yardage plates.
General set-up duties. (Change hole placement, move tee markers).
Practice Safety Standards at all times
Cleaning the golf operations facility every afternoon.
Cleaning Equipment.
Make sure all trash is picked up throughout the course everyday
Willing Participant in resort work events
Ability to have flexible schedules when needed.
What you bring:
Experience and knowledge of turf managementpractices asrelated to golf courses.
Must be fluent in English andpossesslegal work authorization in the United States
Experience with golf course equipment usage and safety.
Needto have at least two years of experience.
Ability to lift 80 lbs.
Work well with others and interact with guests and members on a limited basis.
Able to work in a wide range of environmental and physical conditions.
Adaptatlistening to instructions and following directions from supervisors.
