
This position provides basic to intermediate operator and mechanical grounds maintenance services. This position is responsible for maintaining the facility landscaping, parking areas, roadways, sidewalks, and exterior trash receptacles by operating all landscape associated equipment. Provides grounds maintenance in all seasons. Responsible for snow and dirt removal. Performs preventative and corrective maintenance for this facilities landscape, irrigation systems and grounds equipment. Operates heavy machinery, such as a mower or loaders. Also operates assorted power equipment and is responsible for routine maintenance or repairs.

Shift Differentials Available: $2.00/hr. Weekend- $2.50/hr. Evening - $6.00/hr. Night

Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge, plus vocational or technical training. Must possess a valid driver's license and eligibility for coverage under the company auto insurance policy. Must be eligible to obtain a commercial driver's license.Requires at least 1 year of diversified grounds keeping / landscaping / heavy machine operations work experience. Must be able to operate all required equipment used in landscaping. Must be capable of functioning independently as well as in a team environment to complete all necessary duties. Requires the ability to work safely and effectively with grounds keeping maintenance equipment.Must be proficient in reading and understanding related and required maintenance and operator documents. Effective verbal and written communication skills are required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPossession of a current commercial driver's license preferred.Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
