Willow Grove Village is a relaxed over-55s lifestyle community located in the picturesque Hunter Region of NSW. Surrounded by beautiful countryside and close to local amenities, the village offers peaceful living within a friendly and supportive community.

We are currently seeking a Casual Grounds & Maintenance Officer to join our team and support the ongoing presentation and maintenance of the village.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Village Manager, you will play an important role in maintaining the overall appearance, safety and functionality of the village.

You will be responsible for the upkeep of landscaped areas, gardens and common spaces, along with assisting with general maintenance across the village. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in delivering high standards.

You must be able to work autonomously as well as contribute positively as part of a small village team. A resident-focused approach and confident communication style are essential, as you will interact with residents on a regular basis.

This casual position offers variety and flexibility, with hours dependent on operational requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in grounds keeping, landscaping or general property maintenance. Experience within a lifestyle village or similar environment is advantageous but not essential.

The successful applicant will require:

  • A current Driver’s Licence
  • Experience operating equipment such as:
  • Ride-on mowers
  • Hedge trimmers
  • Whipper snippers
  • Chainsaws
  • High-powered hand tools
  • The ability to undertake minor repairs and maintenance tasks as directed

You will be self-motivated, reliable, well-presented and take pride in maintaining high standards across the village.
