Located on the doorstep of the Swan Valley, BIG4 Perth Midland Tourist Park offers a range of self-contained accommodation, caravan and camping options and provides a convenient base for guests exploring Perth and the surrounding region.

We are seeking an energetic and motivated Casual Grounds & Maintenance Officer to join our team.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Park Manager, you'll help keep our park grounds, facilities and accommodation safe, well maintained and looking their best.

This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, can turn their hand to general maintenance tasks and takes pride in creating a welcoming environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • General grounds, garden and property maintenance
  • Mowing, edging, pruning, weeding and maintaining outdoor areas
  • General repairs and minor maintenance across accommodation, amenities and facilities
  • Operating and maintaining grounds equipment and power tools
  • Assisting with preventative maintenance and park improvement projects
  • Responding to maintenance requests and identifying issues requiring attention
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and well-presented park environment

About You

  • Previous grounds, property or general maintenance experience is preferred
  • Confident using grounds maintenance equipment and power tools
  • Practical, hands-on and able to carry out basic repairs and maintenance
  • Reliable, proactive and able to work independently
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
  • Friendly and comfortable interacting with guests and team members
  • Current Driver's Licence (essential)

Remuneration

The rate of pay for this role will be in accordance with the Hospitality Industry (General) Award.
