Crow's Nest Tourist Park is a family-friendly holiday park nestled in a peaceful bush setting in the heart of Queensland's High Country. Offering a range of self-contained cabins, powered caravan sites and camping sites, the park provides guests with a relaxing escape complemented by quality facilities including a swimming pool, playground, camp kitchen, communal fire pits, BBQ facilities and pet-friendly accommodation.

As part of our team, you'll play an important role in maintaining a safe, welcoming and well-presented park environment, ensuring every guest enjoys an exceptional stay.

We are currently seeking a Casual Grounds & Maintenance Officer to join our team.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Park Manager, this is a hands-on role where you'll work both autonomously and as part of a supportive team to maintain the presentation and operation of Crow's Nest Tourist Park.

You will be responsible for the overall upkeep and improvement of the park's grounds and gardens, as well as assisting with general maintenance across the property. This varied position offers the opportunity to work outdoors, develop your skills, and take pride in creating a safe, clean and welcoming environment for our guests.

We're looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and has a proactive approach to maintaining the park to a high standard.

This is a casual position working three days per week (Wednesday to Friday), with the opportunity for additional hours as required to meet operational needs.

About You

To thrive in this role, you'll bring:

  • Previous experience in grounds and property maintenance is preferred. Experience within a hospitality or tourism environment is highly regarded; however, training will be provided to the right person.
  • A current Driver's Licence (essential).

Experience operating grounds maintenance equipment such as:

  • Ride-on mowers
  • Hedge trimmers
  • Whipper snippers
  • Chainsaws
  • High-powered hand tools
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
  • Good communication skills and pride in maintaining a high standard of presentation.
  • Availability to work Wednesday to Friday each week, with flexibility to work additional hours when required

Remuneration

The rate of pay for this role will be in accordance with the Hospitality Industry (General) Award.
