The Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Assistant position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, hands-on environment where you will assist with various tasks around campus, primarily focused on lawn care, landscaping and supporting the facilities team.
As a Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Assistant, you will:
Champion our integrity and environmental surroundings by providing customer service while exhibiting excellence through:
· Campus Landscape and Environmental Management: mow, edge and trim lawns across the campus to ensure the grounds are neat and well-maintained. Help with planting, weeding, mulching, maintaining flower beds and other landscaped areas.
· Preventative Maintenance: Assist with cleaning spaces, prepping areas for upcoming needs and doing light repairs or painting projects as needed. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations in maintaining campus grounds and facilities. Regularly inspect for, identify, and address potential hazards to create a secure environment for clients and staff. (Service)
· Collaboration: Complete landscape and maintenance projects that align with Heartspring's mission. Foster a collaborative work environment. (Leadership)
· Professional Responsibility: Adhere to code of conduct and company policies, review published communications, escalate concerns through chain of command, and ensure confidentiality. Other duties as assigned. (Integrity)
Requirements
You are a great fit for this role if you have knowledge and abilities in:
· Detail-oriented and reliable.
· Willingness to learn and take on new tasks as needed.
· Knowledge in grounds and maintenance, including knowledge of horticultural practices, landscape design, and environmental management preferred.
· Technical skills in operating grounds and maintenance equipment preferred.
· Effective listening skills with a focus on attention to detail.
· Excellent time management and problem-solving skills in a face-paced environment.
· Solid communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, staff, and vendors.

Education and Experience:
· Must be a minimum of 16 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States
