About This Role: The Maintenance and Operations Supervisor is responsible for the planning, scheduling, coordinating, and completion of all grounds maintenance services for the parks and properties within their assigned area. Responsibilities include the supervision of a crew of 8-13 staff for a 7 day per week operation in a manner that promotes a positive work environment and fosters high morale. The M&O Supervisor is responsible for quality control and performance management, and for ensuring that their staff and grounds operations are compliant with agency, local, state, and federal policies/rules/regulations. The M&O Supervisor will operate independently under general guidelines, will lead by example, and will perform both field work and office work. The M&O Supervisor is responsible for training, coaching, and mentoring of staff for tasks and techniques employed in the maintenance and care of athletic fields, turf, landscaping, irrigation, park grounds and amenities, and applicable equipment. The M&O Supervisor will be responsible for measuring and calculating areas, volumes, and rates as necessary for estimating materials/supplies, calibrating equipment, and for making product applications.
Work Schedule: This is a 7-day per week operation. The typical workday is 7.5 hours; generally Monday-Friday with some rotating weekend requirements. Schedule is generally 7am-3pm with slight variations for start and stop times. May include evenings, holidays, and weekends.
Starting Salary Range: $35.80-$41.88 Hourly
