About the Role

Benalla Tourist Park is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Grounds & Maintenance Officer to join our on-site team.

In this role, you will be responsible for the upkeep, presentation, and safety of the parks outdoor areas, ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable environment for our residents and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and care for outdoor spaces including lawns, gardens, landscaped areas, pathways, and recreational zones.
• Perform routine cleaning such as rubbish removal, debris clearing, and general outdoor tidiness.
• Inspect, maintain, and operate outdoor equipment, gardening tools, and irrigation systems.
• Identify and address hazards (e.g. trip points, overgrown vegetation) to ensure a safe environment.
• Conduct daily pool checks, water testing, and routine pool maintenance
• Respond proactively to ad hoc maintenance requests from residents and the Park Manager.

About You

You are practical, reliable, enjoy hands on work and keeping the park environment looking its best.

You bring:

• Experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, horticulture or general maintenance.
• Confidence using and maintaining gardening tools, mowers, outdoor machinery and equipment.
• A strong understanding of safe work practices, including the safe handling of chemicals, tools and outdoor machinery.
• The ability to work outdoors year round and carry out physical tasks in different weather conditions.
• Experience balancing multiple tasks while working independently, using your time well and staying self directed.
• A commitment to high standards in presentation, safety and resident experience.
• Pride in maintaining tidy, safe and well kept grounds, gardens, pathways and outdoor facilities.
• Eligibility to complete all required pre employment checks, including a National Police History Check.
