Rogers Group is currently seeking a Groundman for the Asphalt Plants position in the Upstate, SC, for our Carolina SMA operations, traveling to but not excluding Greer, Lyman, Gray Court, Gaffney, Anderson, reporting to Area Plant Manager. The successful candidate must be willing to travel, able to develop working relationships with others and vendors, responsible for safely operating and maintaining equipment with starting pay of $21 an hour.

Day Shift- Night Shift/Weekend work may be required with rotating Saturdays
Wages starting at $21.00/hr.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for safely operating and maintaining the asphalt plant and construction equipment to ensure equipment is properly maintained and serviced as needed.
Determining proper quantities of materials needed to produce asphalt
Adjusting controls to regulate the flow of materials
Maintaining the speed of systems
Ensuring the plant is operating at the proper temperature.
Perform walk-around and site inspections for all equipment to identify and correct unsafe conditions.
Monitor inventory levels of all mix materials.
Monitor production levels and adjust production as needed.
Monitor plant site to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow.
Troubleshoot, problem solve and successfully discuss production problems with co-workers and supervisors.
Accurately complete plant reports and other documentation as needed. Enters reports into computer system.
Clean control house and yard facility daily.
Qualifications:
· Must be willing to travel to other plants in the surrounding area.
· Able to develop working relationships with other employees and vendors.
