Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Southwark to assist with the appointment of a Ground worker, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £22.52 - £29.70 per hour

Summary:

A Ground Worker is required to carry out installation, repairs and maintenance of street furniture and public realm infrastructure across highways, parks, open spaces and housing-managed land.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out excavation and groundworks.
• Install lamp columns, posts, bollards, feeder pillars and street furniture.
• Carry out planned and responsive repairs.
• Operate relevant tools, plant and equipment.
• Read and interpret site drawings and specifications.

Essential Requirements:

• Previous Ground Worker / Groundworks experience.
• Experience with excavation and installation work.
• Ability to use tools, plant and equipment.
• Ability to read basic technical drawings.
• Good understanding of health & safety.
• Physically fit for manual and outdoor work.

• You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
• You should have right to work in U.K
