
Syracuse Hancock International Airport is growing, and the Syracuse Regional Airport Authority (SRAA) is looking for a dedicated professional excited about elevating Syracuse Airport to "best-in-class" to join our team as a full-time Ground Transportation and Parking Manager. This position oversees the commercial strategy for Syracuse Hancock International Airport’s parking and ground transportation portfolio. In this role, the Manager will ensure that the ways in which passengers and guest access Syracuse airport, whether arriving via car, rideshare, taxi or shuttle, is a driver of passenger satisfaction while focused on increasing revenues and profitability for the airport.
This position executes the commercial strategy and operations of the ground transportation and parking options offered while working collaboratively with all stakeholders critical to the parking and ground transportation program’s success. This includes oversite of the Authority’s parking operations delivered through its wholly owned subsidiary, including governance, performance management, financial oversight, and strategic alignment while maintaining oversight of related compliance, ground transportation relationships and related traffic flow, adherence and enforcement of ground transportation rules and regulations, and the successful day-to-day parking operations which includes parking deck, surface lot, rental car facilities, and employee parking lots. This position is tasked with relentlessly focusing on delivering the best possible parking and ground transportation program for our passengers and business partners that reflect the Authority’s brand standards and deliver a best-in-class guest experience.
An employee in this class is expected to anticipate periods of increased passenger traffic and to adjust available transportation service accordingly. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, an employee in this class exercises independent judgement, tact and diplomacy when dealing with stakeholders, passengers, and employees alike. This position will manage and evolve a parking and ground transportation program that not only satisfies passenger demand but elevates the overall guest experience and continues to evolve with passenger behaviors and expectations.

Requirements
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in parking operations, ground transportation management, or a related public-facing operational leadership position. Experience managing parking facilities, transportation services, vendors, customer service programs, and regulatory compliance is preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
A. Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an Associate’s degree, and three (3) years of work experience, or its part time equivalent, in commercial ground transportation, parking management, or other experience related to the management of business operations that involves the management of a licensing program and/or business contracts; or
B. Completion of sixty (60) semester credit hours and three (3) years of work experience, or its part time equivalent, as described in (A) above; or,
C. Five (5) years of work experience, or its part time equivalent, as described in (A) above; or,
D. An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A), (B), and (C) above;
Note: Military work experience in parking management, commercial ground transportation operations, or other related area may be substituted for educational requirements.
