McDermott Aviation is seeking a Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Technician to join our aviation team in Andalusia, Alabama. This hands-on role focuses on maintaining and repairing GSE, managing inventory, and building shipping crates to ensure the safe transport of aircraft components and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect, maintain, and repair Ground Support Equipment (GSE) such as fixtures, dollies, and component stands.
• Track and document GSE and tooling using an online inventory system.
• Build durable, well-fitted shipping crates for aircraft parts, tools, and equipment.
• Perform basic hydraulic repairs and minor fabrication as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, following aviation safety standards.
• Support process improvements for equipment handling, storage, and maintenance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Basic computer skills; experience with inventory or tracking software preferred
• Basic woodworking skills, including crate building
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Basic hydraulic repair skills
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment
• Basic welding/fabricating skills (preferred)
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
