  • Perform basic mechanical and hydraulic repairs and coordinate more complex repairs when required.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
  • Ensure all equipment complies with aviation safety requirements and workplace health and safety standards.
  • Remove unserviceable equipment from operation and coordinate repairs or replacement.
  • Build custom plywood shipping crates for aircraft components, tooling and GSE to ensure safe domestic and international transport.
  • Ensure shipped items are correctly secured and protected to prevent damage in transit.
  • Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports and equipment registers.

About You

You are practical, organised and enjoy working with your hands. You take pride in maintaining equipment, solving mechanical problems and ensuring operational teams have the resources they need.

Skills and Experience

  • Good organisational and inventory management skills.
  • Basic computer skills for asset tracking and record keeping.
  • Basic woodworking skills, including measuring, cutting and assembling plywood shipping crates.
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and work independently.
  • Strong focus on safety, quality and attention to detail.

Desirable

  • Trade qualification in Mechanical, Diesel, Automotive, Fitting & Turning, Fabrication or similar.
