Job Description

Telespazio Belgium can count on more than 45 years of experience in the field of Space Operations Service & Engineering activities.

We provide a significant contribution to the most major Space programs of the European Space Agency, EUSPA and other Telespazio Groups. Our core business is to work on the ground to build bridges into space, contributing to the success of ambitious missions.

The European Space Agency is our biggest client and we provide highly qualified employees to many sites of ESA but mainly for ESTEC in the Netherlands, and we provide a permanent contract with great benefits, a good salary, a relocation package along with genuine support to our employees.

Currently, we are looking for a highly enthusiastic Ground Segment Field Engineer who will work for Telespazio Belgium, in Transinne, Belgium.

What is expected from you:

The candidate will work on Galileo Ground Station (remote sites around the world) and ILS centre Transinne.

The candidate will perform the following tasks:

  • Define and write procedures and be able to use RF/electronic test bench
  • Galileo remote sites follow-up and anomalies investigations in coordination with the remote teams
  • Analize incidents, collect information and summarize the main points
  • Support the local team for the troubleshooting
  • Perform technical review meetings with the subcontractors and/or customers
  • Deployment of new infrastructures around the world based on dedicated procedures or the experience of colleagues.
  • Supporting any Classified (CLA) transport from a location to a GALILEO remote site – Clearance EU mandatory
  • Travel frequently to the remote site to perform configuration inspections, audits and installations
  • Reporting redaction after installation or Audit/inspections
  • Support other department/project (logistics, Redu Galileo station Level 1,..) when needed
  • Daily Working in an international and multi-cultural environment
  • Perform technical activities in electronics, informatics, applying procedure of testing and configuration of equipment
  • Producing the required project documentation to be delivered on time;

Technical Skills

  • Basics common electrical knowledge is mandatory – dedicated training will be granted internally to get certifications.
  • Radio frequency knowledge
  • Office suite (excel, word, power point, ..)
  • Galileo knowledge is considered as an asset.

Soft skills

  • Strong collaboration skills, resourceful with a strong team spirit
  • Strong capability to adapt to multilingual environment and ability to work under pressure.
  • Good autonomy and decision making in any kind of situation.
  • Available to travel abroad, including weekends when required
  • Professional Interface with external partners is mandatory skills (customers, space agency, subcontractors, etc..)
  • Analytical, critical and problem solving oriented
  • Rigor, accuracy and reliability, pro-activity
