Grocery Manager | Piggly Wiggly

The Role: The Engine of the Sales Floor

As the Grocery Manager, you are the powerhouse behind our store's inventory and presentation. You will lead the stocking department, overseeing everything from the moment a truck hits our shipping docks to the final display on the sales floor. We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented leader who can manage a high-volume warehouse environment while ensuring our customers always find exactly what they need.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Direct and manage the entire Grocery Department stock crew to ensure peak productivity and morale.
• Inventory Control: Compare invoices against physical shipments to ensure 100% accuracy. You'll be responsible for requisitioning merchandise based on demand, space, and upcoming specials.
• Merchandising Mastery: Design and build eye-catching displays, end-caps, and promotional signage to drive sales and engage shoppers.
• Logistics & Flow: Oversee the receiving, unpacking, and stocking process. You'll maintain a "safety-first" backroom that is organized and clean at all times.
• Quality Assurance: Regularly examine merchandise to identify items for replenishment and strictly manage the removal of damaged or out-of-date products.
• Guest Service: Act as a product expert on the floor, answering questions and helping neighbors with their selections.

• Experience: Previous retail management or warehouse experience is ideal.
• Detail-Oriented: A strong eye for accuracy in shipments and a commitment to keeping shelves and aisles spotless.

• Physical Capability: Comfort with heavy lifting, unpacking large shipments, and maintaining an active presence across the entire store.
