Meijer is seeking an energetic, detail‑driven Grocery Lead to support daily operations within our Grocery department. This role plays a key part in ensuring our shelves are full, our standards are met, and our customers receive an exceptional shopping experience. The Grocery Lead partners closely with leadership to guide team members, maintain merchandising plans, and uphold Meijer’s commitment to freshness, safety, and service.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead daily grocery operations, including stocking, zoning, inventory rotation, and merchandising execution.

  • Provide direction and supportto team members to ensure productivity, accuracy, and adherence to department standards.

  • Monitor inventory levels,identifyoutofstocks, and communicate replenishment needs.

  • Ensure planogram and promotional setsare completed accurately and on schedule.

  • Maintain freshness and food safety standards, including proper rotation (FIFO), temperature checks, and shrink control.

  • Support training and onboardingof new team members within the Grocery department.

  • Deliver excellent customer service,assistingshoppers with product questions andlocatingitems.

  • Collaborate with store leadershipto meet sales goals, labor targets, and operational expectations.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentin accordance withcompany policies.

  • Retail or other customer service experience preferred
