The Grinder Operator position operates and monitors grinder and/or slicing equipment used in the processing of cooked meat products. This position is responsible for assembly of the grinder and/or slicer, maintaining machine controls, loading the grinder and/or slicer, grinder and slicing blade and gasket checks, ensuring tool accountability, and supporting efficient production operations. The employee works under the supervision and direction of the Processing Team Leader.

Fast-paced manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to refrigerated temperatures
Floors may be wet and slippery, and noise levels may be elevated due to production equipment.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
Ability to frequently lift up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand for extended periods, including 2 to 3 hours at a time.
Ability to repetitively use hands, wrists, and arms during grinding/slicing operations.
Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, push, pull, and reach as required.
