Job Description

Abacus Staffing is currently hiring Greeters in the Centreville (Queen Anne) area to support local Board of Elections operations during the upcoming election period. We are seeking friendly, professional, and dependable individuals who enjoy helping the public in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Answer voter questions regarding the general election, including voting procedures, polling locations, and general voting information
• Maintain a friendly, positive, and helpful attitude while interacting with voters
• Assist voters with inquiries related to the voting system and election process
• Support and complete tasks assigned by LBE management or Chief Judge(s)
• Monitor polling place areas to help maintain a secure environment and report any issues to Chief Judges and/or the Local Board of Elections (LBE)

Schedule

• Part-time or full-time opportunities available based on SBE and LBE requirements
• No overtime
• Early Voting shifts: up to 8 hours per day
• Election Day shifts: up to 15 hours

Project Duration

• Estimated assignment length: 8 working days plus 1 training day
• Mandatory training will take place on June 9th
• Work dates are scheduled from June 11th through June 18th
• Work locations may include assigned early voting centers, election day precincts, and training locations
• Candidates may be asked to support multiple LBEs based on staffing needs and availability
• Travel within the State of Maryland may be required
