We are seeking a proactive and sustainability-driven Green Procurement Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on integrating environmentally responsible practices into procurement processes, with a strong emphasis on e-waste management, recycling initiatives, and sustainable sourcing. The ideal candidate will play a key role in minimizing environmental impact while ensuring cost efficiency and supplier compliance.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement green procurement strategies aligned with organizational sustainability goals.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard environmentally responsible suppliers and vendors.
- Ensure procurement policies comply with environmental regulations and standards related to e-waste and recycling.
- Collaborate with internal teams to promote sustainable purchasing decisions and reduce carbon footprint.
- Manage procurement of eco-friendly products, materials, and services.
- Monitor supplier performance based on sustainability metrics and ethical practices.
- Drive e-waste management programs, including safe disposal, reuse, and recycling initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, sustainability impact, and vendor compliance.
- Stay updated on industry trends, environmental regulations, and innovations in green procurement.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses to balance sustainability with financial efficiency.
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and vendor management.
- Knowledge of sustainable sourcing practices and environmental compliance.
- Ability to evaluate suppliers based on environmental and ethical criteria.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret procurement data and sustainability metrics.
Good to Have Skills:
- Experience in procurement operations across industries.
- Knowledge of e-waste management regulations and disposal practices.
- Familiarity with recycling processes and circular economy principles.
- Exposure to sustainability reporting frameworks and ESG metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or related field.
- Relevant certifications in procurement or sustainability (e.g., CPSM, CIPS, or equivalent) are a plus.
