About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Fixed Income Sales Specialist (VP-level) to join the team in Hong Kong responsible for coverage of our Greater China markets sales business.


In this role, you will:

  • Responsible for covering institutional clients for Fixed Income products with a focus on Greater China clients.
  • Develop and grow the current client base, develop strong partnership with our clients
  • Identify opportunities for the current platform and proactively drive the platform buildout for growth
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and development of service standards and goals within Securities Sales
  • ​​​​​​​Proactively identify client opportunities for the current platform, provide feedback on customer demand and make recommendations to drive product innovation
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal trading desks, as well as multiple internal partners, including Regional Management, Risk, Compliance, Products, and the Global Macro Sales and trading team.
  • Operate with high diligence according to the internal risk and control framework


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Securities Sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Knowledge of the Greater China rates and derivatives markets
  • Strong quantitative aptitude or comfort with quantitative analysis


Desired Qualifications:

  • University Degree or advanced qualifications and equivalent experience
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in an Institutional Sales role or a client servicing role, preferably in FICC products
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Greater China markets, with an existing network of institutional clients
  • Expertise in derivatives products, with a strong understanding of market trends and client needs.
  • Strong sense of urgency and commitment as well as a strong business sense with a strategic and tactical orientation.
  • Extensive knowledge of FICC products and solutions
  • In depth understanding of technological, risk and regulatory concerns impacting the Global Markets business
