BASIC FUNCTIONS:
Preparing Erection Drawings and Bills of Materials, in accordance with project specifications and product requirements, by using Tekla based software and proficiently utilizing computer resources to maximize effectiveness and efficiency. Detailers must have strong written and verbal communication skills to be able to read and interpret structural and erection drawings, specifications, and project standards relating to Grating. They must be able to accurately apply this information for use in the coordination of information between the customer and other trades and for the preparation of approval submittal drawings, final drawings and bills of materials for release to production.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Strong commitment to Safety in all job aspects
· Strong computing skills
· Able to communicate fluently and efficiently in English
· Possess excellent organizational skills
· Capable to analyze and think strategically to find solutions to unique problems
· Ability to contribute effectively in a team environment
· A demonstrated ability and desire to manage multiple time-sensitive projects successfully
· Ability to learn and excel at different workflows; detailing, nesting, document control
· Ability to visualize information in a 3-dimensional environment

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
· Technical graduate with experience in drafting or structural design from an accredited technical college, such as N.A.I.T. or S.A.I.T.
· Prior drafting experience in grating or structural steel
· Ability to understand and interpret contract documents, structural, and erection drawings
· Superior language skills in English, both written and oral
· Good interpersonal skills
· Proficient organizational and time management skills to multi-task and prioritize multiple customer needs & inquiries simultaneously
· Previous experience with Tekla, Bluebeam, MS Excel, and MS Outlook
· Production experience within a Vulcraft Grating fabrication facility
