Graphics Technician is responsible for preparation and installation of graphics to vehicles, or applicable components/surfaces. This includes setting up ladders, platforms and other necessary working equipment, proper use of chemicals such as alcohol and solvents to clean surfaces before installation. Graphics Technician should be proficient in installation of graphics on all flat and curved vehicle surfaces. Graphics Technician must follow all safety protocols and maintain compliance with company policy, including being able to work safely to minimize or eliminate risk of personal injury and damage to customer property.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Clean, inspect, and prepare surfaces for installation of vinyl graphics, decals, and wraps.
• Install vinyl graphics on vehicles and other various surfaces.
• Remove vinyl and adhesive from a variety of surfaces without causing damage to the surface.
• Participate in applicable training to ensure alignment with company quality standards.
• Participate in maintaining a clean work center to meet 5s initiatives.
• Carry out directions and daily objectives assigned by the Senior Graphics Technician.
• Collaborate with the Senior Graphics Technician, management, and other relevant team members to ensure end-user expectations are fully met or exceeded.
• Participate in cross training initiatives related to graphics production and other areas related to the graphics department.
• Wash and detail vehicles as needed.
• Additional Related duties assigned as necessary.
Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:
• Minimum of two years’ experience in graphics or vinyl installation on vehicles preferred
• Detail oriented and willing to learn new skills, materials, and techniques.
• Must be able to pass a measurement and installation test.
Education and/or Experience
• Two years of Graphics/Vinyl installation preferred.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk stairs and/or climb ladders. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
