Job Description

The Graphics Production Associate is responsible for operating large-format printing and digital cutting equipment to produce high-quality graphics for trade shows and live events. This role supports the full production workflow including file verification, printing, color management, cutting, finishing, quality control, packaging, and show-site readiness.

This position ensures production accuracy, protects revenue by minimizing reprints, and supports national operational standards through disciplined adherence to quality control procedures and SOPs.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Production Operations

  • Operate EFI VUTEk (rigid) printers.
  • Operate EFI FabriVU (fabric) printers.
  • Operate Zünd G3 digital cutting systems.
  • Utilize RIP software such as Fiery XF or similar.
  • Monitor print runs for color consistency and alignment with approved proofs.

Pre-Production & File Review

  • Review production files for proper size, scaling, bleed, contour paths, and substrate compatibility.
  • Verify alignment with approved client proofs prior to print production.
  • Escalate artwork or formatting discrepancies to the Graphics Production Supervisor.

Quality Control

  • Perform in-process and final QC inspections to ensure sizing, finishing accuracy, and structural Compatibility.
  • Maintain adherence to established color management standards.
  • Reduce reprints and material waste through proactive inspection.

Finishing & Show Readiness

  • Trim, hem, bead, and finish fabric graphics as required.
  • Prepare graphics for packaging and show-site shipment.
  • Accurately label and manifest graphics for event execution.
  • Properly stage and load graphics for transportation.

Equipment & Safety Compliance

  • Perform daily equipment checks and preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment.
  • Follow all safety standards, PPE requirements, and operational SOPs.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in large-format graphic production preferred.
  • Experience with EFI VUTEk and FabriVU printers preferred.
  • Experience operating Zünd G3 cutting systems preferred.
  • Working knowledge of RIP software such as Fiery XF.
  • Strong attention to detail in deadline-driven environments.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

  • Meet established production deadlines.
  • Minimize spoilage and reprint rates.
  • Adhere consistently to documented QC standards.
  • Demonstrate reliability during peak production periods.
