We are looking for an ambitious Graphics Designer with prior knowledge in commercial print businesses, to work at our Alphagrahics Springfield location. You will be working as the first key contact for all our new as well as existing print projects, working with our business clients in helping them to finalize their design files, estimating on their job requirements and working with the inside production team in completing the jobs. Key to the success in this job is the ability in attention to details, be pro-active and creative in providing solutions to clients as per client requests and able to interact with diverse group of clients, in friendly, and welcoming styles.

Responsibilities

• Act as a primary contact for clients - receiving daily queries from clients (new or existing) coming through phone calls, emails and occasional walk-ins.
• Reaching out to clients with solutions - review client requests, convert clients' ideas or art-files in to "print ready" proofs and pre-press files.
• Work closely with the Production teams to ensure art-files are transferred correctly in to print files to make them print-ready.
• Reach out to clients in a timely fashion via telecall or emails, presenting designs, proofs and estimates in clear and convincing manners to ensure jobs are completed on-time, in-full.
• Assist clients with the resolution of any problems that may arise.

Requirements:

• Organized and detail oriented.
• Proficient in Graphics Design - Adobe CC, Creative Suites, InDesign, PhotoShop.
• Working knowledge about print business to be able to interact with Production teams on a daily basis.
• Well versed with the terms and technologies used in commercial print operations - like Digital Vs. offset, CMYK Vs PMS ink, Bleed, Print Registration, Color Matching, Spot color, differences in paper weight, coating, weight etc.
• MUST BE PEOPLE ORIENTED - comfortable in interacting with people over phone, email and importantly face to face.
• Be highly responsive to customer inquiries.
• Be able to articulate and communicate in a clear and simple way - both verbal and written.
• Must be able to take responsibility in managing, retaining and servicing clients.
• Prior experience in printing business is key.
• Strong team playing attitude and when necessary assist others in the team in completing client orders.

Compensation: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
