We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Graphic Specialist within Prepress & Print Production / Color Quality Consistency area to join our creative production team.
This hands-on, individual contributor role is ideal for someone passionate about achieving best-in-class color accuracy and print excellence across all product forms and variants. You will act as the subject matter expert in color management and print production execution, ensuring high-quality production of packaging and label materials while maintaining strict alignment with brand guidelines, design intent, and vendor specifications.
In this critical role, you will be responsible for enabling design intent realization and ensuring consistent visual execution. You will prepare, control, pre-flight, and process design files, converting and adjusting elements as needed to provide print-ready digital files for various printing methods, including flexography, digital, offset, and gravure. You will manage the timely delivery of artwork from receipt through in-house proofing to the delivery of final print-ready files to the printer.
You will collaborate closely with Design, Brand, and other production teams, effectively influencing and advising on color direction and applying color choices "live" with hard copy print proofs to ensure the most productive approach. You will also develop and maintain direct communication with design agencies to ensure that design intent files meet our standards.
Lastly the Design to Print Platform and oversees packaging artworks for Europe markets. The role collaborates with Design and various internal teams to execute Design Templates into compliant final artwork and fit-for-use for printing. Responsibilities include managing the Asset Library, producing Digital Templates, and leading Graphic Adaptations that uphold Brand Equity and adhere to hard and soft point guidelines. The Graphic Specialist is tasked with preparing, controlling, pre-flighting, and processing design template files, making necessary adjustments to ensure the delivery of print-ready digital files suitable for flexography, digital, offset, and gravure printing.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepress & File Preparation:
Analyze, convert, correct, and prepare artwork/design files to be fit-for-use as per printing process on design intent.
Conduct pre-flight checks and ensure files meet all technical and print requirements.
Troubleshoot and address/resolve file issues, making necessary adjustments to graphics.
Prepare color separations.
Manage color set-ups and ink manager in Adobe Illustrator.
Execute Quality Control Checks to ensure print quality and design intent are intact.
Create, govern, and manage printer specifications database.
Create hard proofs for business alignment, making needed adjustments in response to feedback until final design intent execution is approved.
Discuss and propose realistic options for Design Intent execution.
Color Management & Enhancement:
Act as the subject matter expert in color management and print production execution.
Execute advanced color correction, grading, and enhancement using Photoshop, Illustrator, and related tools.
Apply color profiling and calibration techniques to ensure accuracy across print and digital outputs.
Oversee printing materials for CPG labels and packaging, ensuring high-quality production and consistency.
Ensure compliance with brand guidelines, creative intent, and technical specifications.
Partner with vendors and printers to guarantee precise color reproduction across print runs.
Print Production & Quality Assurance:
Oversee printing materials for CPG labels and packaging, ensuring high-quality production and consistency.
Ensure compliance with brand guidelines, creative intent, and technical specifications.
Partner with vendors and printers to guarantee precise color reproduction across print runs.
Prepare, review, and approve color proofs prior to production.
Troubleshoot printing issues and provide solutions during execution.
Color Consistency Across Media:
Ensure accurate color matching across multiple substrates (paper, plastic, labels, etc.) and printing processes (flexo, offset, digital).
Maintain consistency across different production environments and regions.
Standards & Documentation:
Build and maintain internal color libraries (swatches, specifications, and guidelines).
Define and continuously improve color and print standards, workflows, and best practices.
Graphic specialist basic skills
Achieve target Design Intent Production KPIs, including Artwork on Design Intent, On-Time Production, Qualitative In-Market Complaints, and Quality Incident Rate.
Execute Design Intent Graphics Adaptation and Digital Templates with excellence, overseeing the mapping, creation, and approval processes in the Assembly Automation Tool (Veraciti).
Own the multi-functional approval workflow for Digital Templates.
Manage and govern the asset library.
Analyze, convert, correct, and prepare Artwork/design files to ensure they are suitable for the intended printing process.
Collaborate with Design and Brand teams to adapt and produce graphic assets in-house.
Troubleshoot and resolve file-related problems
Create, manage, and maintain a database of printer specifications.
