As the full time Graphic Designer in our Brand & Creative team at Amsterdam HQ, you’ll be helping to bring Swapfiets’ brand to life through bold, innovative, and visually stunning designs.

Are you a creative and driven graphic designer with a passion for content? If so, we want you to join our in-house creative team at Swapfiets! As a rapidly growing company with a startup mindset, we are always seeking new and innovative ways to grow our online and offline brand presence. That's where you come in. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, and a big team player, with sharp design skills to help bring our brand to life.

How you pedal us forward!

As a Graphic Designer at Swapfiets, you will contribute to translating the brand strategy into graphic design expression and create engaging content for all our channels. This includes a variety of formats such as digital advertising campaigns, landing pages and web banners, newsletters & email journeys, slide decks, retail materials and OOH among others. You will also:

• Collaborate with our Content OPS manager, copywriter, content creator, and marketers to design solutions for integrated campaigns in line with our brand strategy and creative direction;
• Turn creative briefs into sharp, engaging designs that are on-brand and channel-optimised across multiple markets;
• Contribute to ideation, shaping concepts and activations with the brand & creative team.
• Elevate our brand identity, ensuring consistent, high-quality assets with a fast test and learn mindset;
• Partner with the Content OPS manager and Copywriter to prioritise and streamline workflows.
• Stay ahead of design trends, keeping our brand fresh, relevant, and inspiring;
• Work closely with external agencies and freelancers, providing design input and feedback;
• Confidently pitch and present your design ideas to internal stakeholders.

The gear you need!

• 4-6 years of design experience (agency or in-house) working across digital, and print.
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, applied arts, communications or other relevant fields, or a relevant field;
• A strong portfolio that shows a balance of brand expertise, creativity, and commercial impact;
• You master Adobe Suite (photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Figma
• Experience with headless CMS tools to build landing pages (Framer preferred)
• A sharp eye for detail: photography composition, strong typography skills, and understanding of how design drives performance across channels.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines with a positive, collaborative mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English. (Dutch, German, Danish, or French is a plus);
• Excited to collaborate with the team and be in our HQ office a minimum of 3 days/week to help build a brand that users love.
• Bonus points for familiarity with: Celtra (for building performance ads and dynamic content), motion design and/or video editing skills (After Effects, Premiere Pro or similar), AI production tools (Weave, Higgsfield)
• Nice to have: if you’re a trained illustrator

Next, you will be invited for a first job interview with our Creative Lead. The second step will be a ‘design case’ so you can demonstrate your awesome skills. The final interview will be held with our Head of Brand.
