
The Graphic Designer supports the development of visual storytelling across all mediums to engage multiple audiences and strengthen the UC Health brand. This role contributes to the execution of marketing and communications strategies by creating high-quality, on-brand creative assets across a variety of channels.
Working closely with the Creative Director and senior creative team members, this position supports day-to-day
creative needs and collaborates across Marketing & Communications and the broader organization. The Graphic Designer is committed to executional excellence, continuous learning, and delivering thoughtful, effective design solutions.
Design Development:
Support the creation of compelling, on-brand designs across channels (internal + external).
Responsibilities include:
• Conceptualize, design, and produce high-quality creative assets for digital, print, social, sponsorships and more
• Translate strategic objectives into visual storytelling that resonates with target audiences
• Execute layouts, typography, and visual systems aligned with brand standards
• Iterate on designs based on feedback from senior team members and stakeholders
• Stay current on design trends, tools, and technologies, applying innovative approaches to keep creative fresh and relevant
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Partner with teams across the organization to deliver effective creative work.
Responsibilities include:
• Partner with marketing, communications, digital, and other teams to deliver cohesive creative solutions.
• Collaborate with writers, strategists, and subject matter experts to bring complex ideas to life visually.
• Present and articulate design concepts to stakeholders, incorporating feedback while maintaining creative integrity.
• Participate in ongoing brainstorms, bringing ideas that help push our brand forward while delivering on key objectives
Brand Excellence:
Champion and uphold brand standards to ensure consistency across all creative materials.
Responsibilities include:
• Ensure consistency and accuracy across all visual materials, adhering to established brand guidelines.
• Contribute to the evolution and enhancement of the brand identity system, visual standards, and templates.
• Advocate for design excellence and brand integrity in all touchpoints and deliverables.
• Demonstrate attention to detail in all aspects of design execution
Project Management:
Drive projects forward with efficiency, clarity, and accountability from concept to completion.
Responsibilities include:
• Manage multiple projects with guidance from senior team members, balancing priorities and deadlines with strong organizational skills
• Prepare final files for production (print and digital)
• Coordinate with internal partners and external vendors as needed
• Proactively communicate status updates and flag potential issues

Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree - Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Communication Design, or related field. | LICENSE & CERTIFICATION: None Required. | Minimum Required: 2-3 years of professional design experience. Preferred: 3-5 years.
