
Job Purpose or Objective(s): Design and produce print and digital marketing pieces to communicate the brand message to the intended audience. You will report to the Art Director.

Schedule Regular/Full-Time - 8am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday

Primary Tasks:
1. You will meet with a senior designer or art director to determine the scope and creative direction for design projects.
2. Collaborate with the art director to establish strategies to reach the correct audience for design projects.
3. You will collaborate as part of a creative team with copywriters, art directors, senior designers, and production artists to complete projects from initial concept to a final produced piece.
4. Ensure all design and messaging aligns with the brand.
5. You will develop graphics for an array of media, including: logos, brochures, billboards, posters, trade show graphics, point of sale, packaging, digital assets and websites.
6. Pitch design options to the Creative Director for presentation to the client.
7. You will incorporate changes recommended by the art director or clients until the final design is approved.
8. Review collateral done by Production Artists for accuracy before printing or posting.
9. Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Requirements:
· Technical or Associate Degree in Graphic Design/Visual Communications or 2 years of directly related experience in lieu of education
· Expert user on a Mac computer
· Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 – Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat
· Knowledge of principles of design, including layout, typography, color, balance, composition and current design trends
· Familiarity with production requirements and working with outside vendors
· Experience to work constructively under stress
· Ability to apply and enforce style/brand guidelines
· Three (3) years’ experience as a graphic designer with experience in advertising in a design and production environment
