Title: Graphic Designer
Reporting to: Chief Marketing Officer
of Role
The Graphic Designer supports the Marketing & Communications team by creating high-quality visual communications that strengthen the company's brand, elevate its market presence, and support strategic business initiatives. This role provides creative design support across print, digital, social media, events, recruiting, internal communications, public relations, client support, and business development efforts.
TheGraphic Designer collaborates with marketing, public relations, business development, and internal teams to develop compelling visual materials that communicate expertise, support client engagement, and drive business growth. The role is responsible for helping maintain brand consistency while meeting the growing demand for creative services across the organization.
Essential Functions
Marketing & Business Development Support
- Design and produce marketing collateral including brochures, qualifications packages, project sheets, one-pagers, case studies, presentations, and other client-facing materials.
- Create graphics and visual content for social media platforms, email marketing campaigns, website updates, digital advertising, and thought leadership initiatives.
- Develop custom graphics and layouts that effectively communicate complex construction consulting services, technical information, and project successes.
- Design customer-facing materials that support business development, proposal pursuits, recruiting efforts, and client engagement activities.
Event & Corporate Communications
- Create event-related materials including booth graphics, banners, signage, name badges, promotional items, programs, and presentation assets for conferences, trade shows, and corporate events.
- Design internal communications such as newsletters, employee recognition materials, company announcements, recruiting campaigns, and corporate culture initiatives.
- Develop visual assets supporting public relations efforts, award submissions, media announcements, and corporate communications.
Brand Management & Creative Production
- Ensure consistency with company brand standards across all marketing and communication materials.
- Prepare artwork and files for print production and coordinate with external vendors, printers, and promotional product suppliers as needed.
- Assist with photography selection, image editing, and creation of basic video graphics and multimedia assets.
- Support website design updates through the creation of graphics, imagery, and landing page visual elements.
- Organize, maintain, and update digital asset libraries, brand templates, and design files.
Collaboration & Project Management
- Collaborate closely with marketing team members, business development professionals, technical consultants, content writers, and event coordinators to deliver projects on time and within brand standards.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while balancing competing priorities and deadlines.
- Participate in creative brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative design solutions that support organizational goals.
- Maintain proactive communication regarding project status, timelines, and deliverables.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field + 3 years of experience with professional graphic design or
- Strong portfolio demonstrating creative thinking and technical ability
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
- Strong typography, layout, and branding skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Canva
- Basic video editing (Premiere Pro or After Effects)
- Familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint
- Experience preparing files for commercial printing
- Photography or photo editing experience
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Indoor office environment. May require work on site location when necessary.
- Equipment used includes: computers and standard office machines.
- Essential physical tasks include: the ability to work on a computer and the ability to answer and speak on a telephone.
