This role is responsible for creating high-quality materials, including signage, templates, and presentations, that align to brand standards and elevate the experience for K-12 students, families, and school district partners. The ideal candidate understands that great design is not just creative, it is structured, repeatable, and built to perform in real-world operational environments.

This role plays a critical part in strengthening brand consistency across districts and advancing ADA accessibility compliance across all materials. The Graphic Designer will develop scalable templates, refine existing assets, and ensure every deliverable meets established standards for quality, usability, and inclusivity. Success requires strong communication and collaboration skills, as this role operates in a highly matrixed environment - partnering across marketing, nutrition, and operations to deliver solutions that are both visually compelling and operationally effective.

Job Responsibilities

Template Development & Field Enablement

  • Design and produce high-quality materials for base operations, including signage, templates, presentations, and field communications
  • Develop scalable, user-friendly templates and design systems that empower field teams to execute consistently without design expertise
  • Simplify complex information (menus, nutrition messaging, operational content) into clear, structured formats for repeatable use
  • Continuously improve templates based on field feedback, usability, and evolving business needs

Brand Execution & Governance

  • Act as a steward of the brand by reviewing, refining, and elevating materials to meet enterprise design expectations
  • Maintain and evolve brand guidelines and design standards to support scalable, consistent execution
  • Communicate and reinforce brand standards across a highly matrixed organization, ensuring alignment across stakeholders and reducing inconsistency at the field level

ADA Accessibility & Compliance Integration

  • Apply ADA and accessibility standards to all design work, including typography, color contrast, layout, and readability
  • Proactively identify and remediate accessibility gaps in existing materials to reduce risk and improve usability

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to design for multiple audiences, including consumer-facing (students/families) and professional/client-facing materials
  • Experience applying ADA and accessibility best practices in design (print and/or digital)
  • Strong ability to translate complex information into simple, clear visuals
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence design direction across stakeholders
  • Proven experience creating templates and scalable design systems for repeatable use
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and PowerPoint
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality, consistency, and meeting deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience will be considered
  • Portfolio of relevant work required (demonstrating both brand storytelling and structured/system-based design)
