Job Description
The Graphic Designer is a key member of the creative team and supports the development of high-quality digital creative across multiple marketing and communication channels. This role is responsible for designing visually engaging, brand-aligned, and user-focused assets for websites, email campaigns, social media, digital advertising, and other online platforms. This position helps strengthen the organization’s digital presence by creating consistent, polished, and effective design solutions that support marketing campaigns, audience engagement, brand awareness, and business goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and produce digital creative for websites, landing pages, email campaigns, social media, digital ads, presentations, and other marketing channels
- Translate creative briefs, campaign concepts, and content needs into polished digital assets
- Support website design updates, page enhancements, and ongoing visual consistency across digital platforms
- Design email templates and campaign creative that support promotional, engagement, membership, fundraising, sales, or brand objectives
- Apply digital design best practices to create clear, accessible, and engaging visual experiences
- Collaborate with marketing, communications, creative, and cross-functional partners to develop digital assets aligned with campaign and organizational goals
- Support user experience improvements across web, email, and other digital touchpoints
- Ensure digital designs are consistent with brand standards, usability expectations, accessibility guidelines, and platform requirements
- Assist with design implementation across content management systems, email platforms, and other digital tools
- Contribute creative ideas for motion graphics, video elements, animation, photography, and interactive content as needed
- Support digital content planning by developing design concepts for social media, web, email, and campaign initiatives
- Participate in regular reviews of digital channels to identify opportunities for design improvement, testing, and creative innovation
- Partner with marketing and analytics teams to review performance insights and apply learnings to future creative work
- Organize, manage, and maintain digital files, templates, design assets, and content libraries
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Perform other related duties and creative support assignments as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in digital design, graphic design, visual communications, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered
- 2–4+ years of professional digital design experience, preferably in an agency, nonprofit, corporate, or in-house creative environment
- Strong portfolio demonstrating digital design work across web, email, social media, and campaign creative
- Experience designing digital assets that support marketing, promotional, brand, sales, engagement, or communication objectives
- Strong understanding of digital design principles, web design, email design, and UI/UX best practices
- Experience designing and maintaining websites using WordPress, Elementor, or similar web platforms
- Experience with email marketing platforms, marketing automation tools, or CRM-connected campaign systems preferred
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, and Premiere Pro
- Familiarity with Figma or similar collaborative design tools preferred
- Motion graphics, video, photography, or animation experience is a plus
- Experience with project management platforms such as Wrike, Monday.com, Asana, or similar tools is preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to take creative direction and translate it into audience-appropriate digital designs
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
- Ability to occasionally work evenings, weekends, holidays, or special events as needed
- Ability to perform light physical tasks, including occasional lifting, carrying, moving, pushing, or pulling of materials up to 15–20 pounds
- Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one within required timeframe, if business needs require local travel or operation of company vehicles
