Job Description: Graphic Designer
Primary Purpose:
- Provision design concepts – tenders, prospecting tools, agency offer etc
- Staying current with internal and vendor production processes, features, benefits
- Marketing collateral – both offline and online
- Attending key customer meetings where design input adds value
- Manage Customer portals – internal ownership & vendor management
- New product development
- Support design team with daily workload when demand exceeds capacity
Our teams are busy serving multiple brands, ours + Identilam, Avery and our growing set of acquired businesses. Our brands specialise in prestigious and varied events – ranging from festivals to those in the Public Sector. Our Marketing team are an ever-evolving part of our business, developing our brand, growing our customer communications and developing products and services through creativity in design, technology and customer centric product offering. We predominantly serve the events industry and timing is everything. A cool, calm and organised approach when under pressure and tight time constraints is essential, along with a positive attitude and sense of humour.
Key Responsibilities:
 Provide high-quality design, that supports all aspects of customer retention and acquisition across our varied brands
 Develop deep understanding of a customer’s needs and embed this into their designs, driving trust and product/ service excellence
 Share learnings, processes and experience with colleagues to aid their understanding and development
 Manage and become Subject Matter Expert for our Customer Portal solution. Supporting best practice of use internally and deliver effective and creative options for customers that are aligned to our design logic.
 Work seamlessly with the Marketing Manager to develop, manage and protect the brand
 Tirelessly pursue a profitable, revenue generating offer alongside our sales function
 Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of both internal & external customers
 Innovating in both creative design, but also leveraging product and process knowledge to expand our offering and share insights within the organisation
 Compiling relevant data and providing weekly/monthly reporting on performance at a local, functional and business level
 Providing analysis and recommendations where opportunities may present themselves
 Training new team members to a high standard, bringing them into the team and monitoring performance during the training and probation period with relation to our design and product capabilities
 Supporting team performance by undertaking activity as required covering other team roles during absence or during peaks in demand
 Initiate, lead and support improvement initiatives
 Ensure timely and efficient service, communication and output
 Liaise with all key stakeholders within the organisation to develop robust relationships
 Any other tasks that arise as necessary in support of the company’s aims and needs

Requirements


Experience/ Core Skills
 Curious & creative
 Reliably able to execute on actions and projects
 Good understanding of the operational processes
 Knowledge of SAGE – advantageous, but not essential
 Due to extreme seasonality of our business, flexibility and additional hours would be required at times
 At least 3 years of experience in working on similar position
 Active listener and able to turn learning into solutions
 Reporting & analysis skills
 Patient and flexible, organized and very positive attitude
 Strong customer focus and team focus
 Customer facing skills – advantageous but not essential
 Eager to improve themselves, alongside our processes
 Initiates their own learning and development – closes knowledge gaps proactively
