Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Graphic Design Specialist II to join the Audio Video Division in Minnetonka, MN.

The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating, delivering, and producing design components to completion. Responsibilities include creating a wide variety of creative content for marketing programs to include but not limited to website and blog design, branding, banner ads, presentations, and social media content. This position reports to the Senior Marketing Manager but works very closely with Content Manager.

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Take a lead role in the creative direction and production of concepts on a variety of visual communication

pieces including but not limited to ads (online and print), online newsletters, landing pages, social media assets, email communications, etc.

  • Design and develop online assets for websites and blog content
  • Art creation for projects, including sketch illustration and photo manipulation. Strong understanding of mechanical files and their use, including preparing files for print when necessary
  • Partners with Content Manager to create interactive content, including email design assets, design web pages, website graphics for branded site and 3rd party retailer sites, and presentation materials, as well as social media graphics customized to relevant platforms
  • Provide support in the creation and implementation of our email templates in Hubspot platform (design, layout, html coding, and troubleshooting)
  • Oversees and maintains design asset inventories
  • Assist with set up and direction for photo shoots, video shoots, etc.
  • Serve as project manager including coordination of review and approvals
  • Select and manage work direction as necessary from outside printers, photographers, designers, illustrators, etc.; review and approve all press proofs and invoices
  • Manage and update the brand guidelines documents and ensure compliance both internally and with external

vendors

  • Understand workplace hazards and take steps to proactively prevent and report hazards or injuries in the workplace. Cooperate in Safety Programs, initiatives and investigations

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Sound understanding of marketing tools and methodologies
  • Must have excellent graphic design skills and a high degree of innovation shown through a professional portfolio
  • Advanced presentation design & layout skills
  • Strong project management skills. Ability to efficiently manage multiple brands. Demonstrates strong detail orientation, process orientation, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Web design, HTML coding experience
  • Apply AI-assisted design workflows, creative problem-solving, and strong technical skills to deliver impactful creative work
  • Must have proficient knowledge of the following software: Adobe InDesign CC, Adobe Photoshop CC, Adobe Illustrator CC, Font Management Software, Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Ability to multi-task and manage several projects through completion at one time, with strict deadlines and

multiple approvals

  • Ability to translate established marketing strategies into clear, concise, appealing visuals that are consistent with the brand image
  • Strong artistic aptitude for type, design, color and concept
  • Positive attitude, highly creative, technically savvy
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to lead and work in teams, thrives in a collaborative environment
  • Proven ability to make sound decisions within established guidelines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in web, graphic or commercial art or related area, with a minimum of three (3) years’

experience as a Graphic Designer, Artist, Web Designer, or other related career with extensive color printing,

photo direction and web creation responsibilities (social media assets, digital advertising, infographics, email,

and website creative); or any combination or relevant education and experience

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, HTML, PowerPoint, and other graphic programs for both print and web

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Hubspot
  • Video editing and motion graphic development experience

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required (for the majority of the working

day) to sit and make coordinated movements of the fingers for using a keyboard

  • General office environment
  • May require regular ground travel to other company facilities within local metropolitan area
  • Long-distance or air travel as needed – not to exceed 15% travel

The expected salary range for this position is $70,000 - $78,000 annually
