Job Description

The Graphic Artist supports Proposal & Pricing, Business Development, and Capture efforts by producing high-quality graphics and visual materials for proposals, sources sought responses, and related marketing deliverables. This role is responsible for executing assigned design work in accordance with established templates, branding standards, and proposal requirements, under the direction of the Graphics Manager.

The pay rate for this position is $41.44 - $50.97/hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supports Proposal & Pricing, Business Development, and Capture teams through coordination with the Graphics Manager.
  • Reviews solicitation and proposal materials to understand requirements and incorporates direction provided by Proposal Management and leadership.
  • Produces assigned graphics, covers, page layouts, and visual elements in support of proposals, sources sought responses, and business development materials.
  • Applies established templates, branding guidelines, and visual standards to ensure consistency across deliverables.
  • Develops tables, charts, infographics, and formatted content in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Incorporates feedback from the Graphics Manager and proposal leadership to refine deliverables.
  • Manages multiple concurrent assignments and meets established deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervision

No supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or Journalism, or two (2) years Graphic Arts training.
    • Education may be substituted for experience on a 1:1 basis.
  • Two (2) years of Graphic design experience in a business support environment, preferably for services/construction marketing documents and government proposals.
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite/Cloud, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
  • US Citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Graphic Arts, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting proposal development efforts within a government contracting environment.
  • Experience creating graphics for construction, engineering, facility operations and maintenance, professional services, logistics, security, or environmental services.
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint or similar collaboration platforms.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Visio, Publisher, or other process‑mapping and layout software.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply design direction, incorporate feedback, and meet proposal deadlines.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent assignments in a deadline‑driven environment
  • Experience and knowledge of Alaska Native cultures.

Physical Demands
