Grants Coordinator

• Join Create NSW a division within the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport
• Clerk Grade 5/6 with a salary range of $102,936 - $113,579 + super & leave loading
• Temporary role until 4 December based in Sydney, NSW

Create NSW supports the people, places, communities and creative work that shape the cultural life of NSW. Through investment, programs and partnerships, we help make creativity visible, valued and part of everyday life.

We are looking for a Grants Coordinator to support the effective administration and delivery of Create NSW funding programs. This is an opportunity to play an important role in ensuring public funding is administered efficiently, transparently and with a strong focus on achieving positive outcomes for NSW’s creative sector.

About the role

As Grants Coordinator, you will provide hands-on administrative and coordination support across the grants lifecycle—from applications and assessment through to contracting, payments, reporting and acquittal.

You will work closely with the grants team and funding recipients, helping ensure processes are consistent, accurate and compliant with relevant policies and requirements. You will also contribute to improving systems, resources, reporting and processes that support the effective delivery of grants programs.

About You

You are organised, detail-focused and confident working with systems, data and information. You understand the importance of accuracy, good record keeping and following established processes when administering public funding.

You will bring:

• Experience in administration, coordination or grants-related processes.
• Experience using data, information and/or payment systems.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Good communication skills and the ability to provide helpful, timely responses to enquiries.
• A commitment to accurate, consistent and transparent administration.
• The ability to work collaboratively and contribute to continuous improvement.
