The Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation is hiring a Grants Administrator. This position will be responsible for administering all outgoing grants for the department. The incumbent will contribute as an important member of our small Grants Team within our Business Office team. The ideal candidate brings proven grant and/or project management experience, intimate familiarity with Microsoft Office programs, a positive professional approach, initiative, the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment, and shares an interest in the department's mission. This position will be expected to report to the Montpelier office at least 3 days each week with the option of 2 days remote. Job Duties:
This position, Grants Administrator - Limited Service (Job Requisition #55857), is open to all State employees and external applicants. It is a Limited Service position, which is non-tenured and authorized for a specific period of time. Limited Service positions are established for specially funded projects or programs.

Duties are performed primarily in a standard office setting. Duties may entail some work outside of normal office hours and some travel, for which private means of transportation must be available. Some pressure from deadlines may be anticipated.
Bachelor's degree AND three (3) years or more at or above a technical level in the development, evaluation, administration, or fiscal monitoring of grants.
OR
Master's degree in public administration or accounting AND one (1) year or more at or above a technical level in the development, evaluation, administration, or fiscal monitoring of grants.
OR
Associate's degree (or two years of full-time college coursework) AND five (5) years or more at or above a technical level in the development, evaluation, administration, or fiscal monitoring of grants.
OR
High School diploma AND seven (7) years or more at or above a technical level in the development, evaluation, administration, or fiscal monitoring of grants.
